Prosthesis allergy

Bericht: Dr. med. dent. J. U.

Patient: 68 years old, male

Diagnosis: Patient complained of burning sensation in the tongue and a dry mouth following incorporation of maxillary prosthesis. Dental and allergological treatment did not improve the condition. The long-term secondary polymerisation we recommended, i.e. leaving prosthesis in boiling water for 4 hours, did not reduce the problem significantly either.

Therapy: The material allergy test with the BICOM device yielded the following: the prosthesis should be removed immediately (it was left in our surgery). The patient was treated with the inverse oscillations of his prosthesis in a 4-day cycle. Weekly basic therapy was also administered for energetic compensation.

Therapy result: The follow-up test four weeks later no longer produced a negative result. The prosthesis was tolerated from then on without any problems.
